Meet Stewy V2!

Principles

I want to make Stewy a great platform for learning robotics. To achieve this, I've been developing Stewy with these principles in mind.

  • Open Source Development: All of Stewy’s code and design files are open-source. I hope this makes it easy for anyone to explore, understand, and modify the robot.

  • Simple and Capable Designs:  Stewy is designed to be approachable and repairable, but also be packed with features. It uses simple hardware but makes the most of it. For example, the same six motors are used for both precise head movement and legged mobility.

  • Community Support: One of the biggest challenges in robotics is keeping a project from going stale. With the release of Stewy V2, I am committed to pushing both the robot and the community forward. That means helping people troubleshoot issues, supporting custom modifications, and listening to feedback to shape where the project goes next.
